IPL Photo Rejuvenation

Vascular Therapy

IPL Vascular treatment is a non-ablative procedure that uses intense pulsed light to target haemoglobin in the skin, heating and damaging unwanted vessels. Damaged vessels are then removed either via the lymphatic system, resulting in a more even skin tone. Typically, this treatment is used to spot treat vascular lesions of the face and upper body.

INDICATIONS - Superficial red capillaries on the face and decolletage (telangiectasios). Cherry angiomas from the waist up

Pigmentation Correction

IPL pigmentation correction effectively fades and removes age spots, sunspots and discolouration to greatly improve overall skin tone, texture and radiance. Intense pulsed light is used to target melanin in the skin, heating and shattering brown pigment. Damaged melanin is then removed either via the lymphatic system or micro-crusts on the surface of the skin and naturally sloughs off, resulting in a more even skin tone.

INDICATIONS - Solar lentigines (sunspots, age spots), Freckles.

Acne Therapy

Blue light is used to target C.acne bacteria in the skin.

C.Acne bacteria live in an oxygen free environment and produce endogenic porphyrins. When these porphyrins absorb blue light, free radical damage and oxygen is produced. This process destroys the bacteria and reduces associated inflammation, assisting with resolution of acne lesions.

INDICATIONS - Spot treatment of papules and pustules.

Skin Rejuvenation

This procedure uses intense pulsed light to stimulate the fibroblasts cells to trigger a wound healing response. This process stimulates collagen and elastin production along with several of the skin's self-rejuvenating mechanisms to improve the signs of ageing and improve skin texture and tone.

INDICATIONS - Uneven skin tone and texture, Skin redness and / or flushing, Fine lines and wrinkles, Loss of firmness.
